Peter Valentine has recently been awarded full membership of the RBSA and he is a member of the Lichfield Society of Artists. He has been painting in oils for over 40 years. Peter obtained a degree in Fine Art at Liverpool College of Art in 1981 and then was awarded the David Murray Landscape Painting Scholarship from the Royal Academy. Since then he has exhibited throughout the United Kingdom and received several awards, most recently being the Jack Ballinger Award and the Oil Painting of Excellence Award. Peter is a traditional painter and has the versatility to work in many styles. His subject matter is wide ranging and Peter enjoys the challenge of switching between subjects as his preference alters over time. Peter also particularly enjoys the challenge of commissions. He has received many commissions to date.  Subject matter includes portraits of people, portraits of pets, fantasy, seascapes and landscapes.  Studio Valentine is located in the Arches building. Peter's fantastic studio includes his working area and a great gallery where a selection of his work can be viewed.
